Our walking
tours are for active
people who want more from their African holiday than the
vehicle confined package safaris. We put quality time in guided
walks and wildlife viewing away from mass tourism. To achieve
this we use private game sanctuaries and small national parks
where there is an abundance of game and nature is at its best.
The easily available game like
Giraffes, Zebras, Gazelles, Colobus Monkeys and the very
interesting bird life are guaranteed interruptions during the
walks. The scenery is ever changing and enticing; there are small
lakes in the craters, tropical rain forests and snow on the
Equator, high escarpments, hot springs and the open savannah.
Masai Mara, one of the many highlights of our tours, is not just
for the game but also for walks outside the game reserve guided by Masai Morans.
All
our walks are educational soft adventures and
they are an excellent chance for each participant to be in nature with
a small group of like-minded people.
The walks are non-competitive and
the level
of fitness needed is not for top athletes; as long as one is
reasonably healthy and enjoys being outdoors, he/she will thoroughly
enjoy the tours. |
We keep the holiday spirit within your tour, with
the day's activities programmed to leave you with enough time to just rest.
But should you wish to spend the whole day out, the walking
distances are flexible and we provide more than one guide to accommodate different walking abilities.

Knowing that many
people associate African walking holidays with camping tours, we
would like to emphasize that we only use tourist class
lodges with en-suite accommodation and high standards of
hospitality. We select the lodges based on their unique
service, settings and close proximity to our walking
sites. For total relaxation during the tour we stay in one of our
selected lodges for minimum 2 nights and this gives us a base away
from home without the inconvenience of packing up every morning.
In addition we provide full ground support so clients do
not have to help with the daily chores of running the
tour. We believe that our deliberate decision to use
lodges and to fully cater for our tours is what mainly
makes our tours attractive to the active senior travelers
and also to families with children.

walking tour
On this tour you walk in Crater Lake, Crescent Island and the
national park of Hell's Gate and around Lake Elementaita
and finish off with a 3-day safari in Masai Mara.

walking tour
Walk in the
Aberdare Country Club sanctuary, Solio Game Sanctuary, around Lake
Elementaita, Crater Lake, Hell's Gate NP, Crescent Island and
Masai Mara. Game viewing in the Solio Ranch, from the
balcony of Treetops (= a tree hotel in the Aberdares) and in
Masai Mara. Accommodation is in comfortable hotels and
lodges.
