I love bird watching and though I've been doing it as a hobby, I'm considering taking it as a career. Besides birding in my own backyard, local county and state,I've done short excursions in other states. I've also done Costa Rica and Chile. Can't wait to go to Africa, specifically to Kenya. Cost of flights is an issue with me but I hope in 2 -3 years time they will have dropped to US$400 (wishful thinking), but I cross my fingers that one day I will do bird watching in Kenya. Thanks for your nice website.

You sound very enthusiastic about birds and bird watching and this is just what you need to make a career in bird watching. Consider when you make your hobby your job, then you get much more than just the pay.

Birdwatching in Kenya is a thrill with birds which are easy to see, colorful and very diverse. Add to this the wildlife viewing which is in separable from birding especially in national parks such as Nakuru, Masai Mara, Samburu, Amboseli, or Tsavo.

The airfare to Kenya can be an issue but shopping online around for cheap flights to Kenya, can surprise you with very attractive offers, especially if you travel on the off-season i.e. any period outside the summer months, December and the Easter holidays.
