Looking for student tours programs to Africa for a solo student

YOU ASKED

My school does not have a students tours program to Africa. As a lone student do you have open school tours that I can join at a budget price? I want to travel with my age-mates on a guided school tour.

ANNE HUYSMAN REPLIES

School programs to Africa are in most cases organized by an individual school or at most a couple of campuses within the same administration. Reasons for this are obvious: there are shared values, possibly the school tour is designed to cover a certain part of the academic curricula and basically handling the subscription logistics of the tour is easy for the school. Stretch this further and consider that even within the school tours are specific to students ages or classes.

With above you can see that it is difficult for an outsider student to freely join into a tour of a different school.

Should you still be interested in traveling with your age mates consult agencies that handle youth tours which are open to subscribers who meet the age requirement. Also if you have more students in your school who want to go to Africa, you can ask your teachers to organize the trip.
